4 oktober blev de gamle færge Ærøsund sænket udfor Syltemae camping under stor ståhej. Da vi havde lukket ned for vinteren 1/10 var der god plads til parkering og godt 800 mennesker så færgen synke fra campingpladsen. I ventetiden før sænkningen optrådte Troldmanden fra Samsø. Der blev spist grillpølser og drukket kaffe i lange baner og vores datter Lea bagte pandekager. Overskuddet fra pandekagerne gik til røde kors- Det blev til ca 4000 kr. Vores anden datter Urd serverede indisk mad til de sultne.
Der var en fin udsigt til færgen og de omkringliggende både fra campingpladsen. TV2news landede med helikopter på pladsen og dækkede begivenheden i 4 timer.
